SV PROJECT, full name SV PROJECT - EVENT ORGANIZER, is a non-profit organization founded and operated by a group of music aficionados, marketing specialists and university students. Being a purveyor-facilitator-promoter of performing art, we are organizing a series of multicultural music events and performances, which should give motivation to and build up confidence for talents who are learning music and performing arts. While at the same time, by using a cost-effective methodology, SV PROJECT promotes businesses and tourism in Vancouver.
- To give motivation to young and/or talented performers.
- To build up confidence to young and/or talented performers.
- To draw traffic to venue providers in an on-going basis.
- To provide event organizing experiences to volunteers in post-secondary schools.
The idea is in an on-going basis, to have bands/vocalists, while being accompanied by choreography; perform mostly live retro-style Western pop/soft rock classics plus Hong Kong and other Asian (i.e. Korean, Japanese, Taiwanese, etc.) versions of “canto” pop at venues such as the Aberdeen Centre of Richmond, B.C. The performers are mainly from popular music schools and/or studios, students from post-secondary schools such as University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, and Vancouver Film School, and those who achieved a professional standard in the music or performing art’s industry.
